LYNN VOLK, MHS
Senior Manager
Lynn A. Volk, MHS, is the Senior Manager of the Clinical and Quality Analysis research group at Mass General Brigham's Center for AI and Biomedical Informatics in the Learning Healthcare System (CAIBILS). In this capacity, she oversees and actively contributes to research teams dedicated to assessing the impact of information systems on the quality and safety of patient care, with a particular focus on clinical decision support and AI/machine learning systems. Ms. Volk has conducted numerous large-scale, multi-year research projects, both federally and industry funded, that span IT development, clinical informatics, medication safety, quality assessment, clinical communication and documentation, usability and user experience, and the clinical validation of AI/machine learning systems. Her current research endeavors include evaluating machine learning systems designed to enhance high-risk patient medication management and to identify patients at risk for opioid use disorder. Ms. Volk is also a key leader in Mass EQLHS, a collaborative, multi-institutional initiative aimed at cultivating embedded faculty to improve healthcare outcomes for all. Prior to joining Mass General Brigham, she held various roles in patient safety, research, technology development, and operations at the Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions. Ms. Volk holds a Master of Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
SAMANTHA LEE, MMSc
Research Program Coordinator
Samantha graduated in 2023 from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Sociology. She then received her Master’s in Medical Sciences from Brown University in May 2024. Throughout her time in Baltimore, MD and Providence, RI, she engaged in clinical research and locally-focused health education initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes for all. As the current Research Program Coordinator, she plans to utilize her experience with Mass EQLHS to sculpt her future career as a physician and public health researcher.
JYOTSNA SANJEEVI, MPH
Sr. Data Analyst
Jyotsna holds a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, graduating in 2023, and a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from India. She began her career as a clinician, working for two years in India, where she developed an understanding of patient care and public health challenges. Currently working as a Senior Data Analyst, Jyotsna combines her clinical background with data analytics expertise to address health disparities and advance women's health. She is passionate about contributing to meaningful projects that improve health outcomes for underserved communities.
DIEGO TRUJILLO JIMÉNEZ, MS
Computational Researcher
Diego completed a degree in software engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and later received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. His interests and experience involve bridging the gap between artificial intelligence and medicine and enabling safe AI in the clinic. As a member of Mass EQLHS, he is interested in how learning health systems leverage technology to integrate research and practice.
